Fjærland's local democracy is active and has real impact on daily life here. All inhabitants are members of the Bygdautval, and a board is chosen among us. This is the Bygdalag. Most important matters are discussed and settled at community meetings. These meetings are always announced beforehand, so pay attention to the billboard at the grocery store. The community meetings are a good way to meet people and get news about what's happening. The debate climate is good, and we do our best to keep it inclusive and easy to join (this wiki is part of that effort).
